Valis - Philip K. Dick
An unusual book about, I think, the mental breakdown of the author, either that or his awakening into a higher level of understanding and knowledge. Educational on topics of Christian gnosticism. Much of it feels prescient to our time, the beams of information, though written long before the internet, are very similar. The AI Jesus plot also feels predictive of the current state of affairs, especially as is the same idea that appears to be driving much of silicon valley, in it's development and in it's ideology. I think it was joe rogan who just the other day claimed Jesus could come back as AI. Clearly insane, but very interesting that pkd was writing about it (even if he was delusional himself, his delusion was ahead of it's time) back in 1981.
The prose was fantastic, neither annoying nor too simple.
